J.League players score against England

Slovenia’s Milivoje Novakovic and Nejc Pecnik proudly represented their J.League clubs in an Euro 2016 qualifier against England on Sunday, each scoring as their side eventually lost 3-2.

Nagoya Grampus striker Novakovic netted the opener in front of an appreciative home crowd in the 37th minute, while JEF United Chiba's Pecnik struck a temporary equaliser with six minutes remaining.

Urawa Reds striker Zlatan Ljubijankic had also been called up for the match, but had to sent back to Japan after he suffered an injury in early June.
