J.League holds marketing workshop in Iran

The J.League and Iran Pro League held a joint marketing workshop earlier this month at the National Football Center in Tehran.

70 marketing directors from 60 Iranian professional clubs participated at the September 7 event, with the happenings covered by local television.

From 9:00 until 17:00 local time, J.League Managing Director Daisuke Nakanishi and International Marketing Director Takeyuki Oya introduced the history and mission of the J.League.

The pair discussed the league’s current business structure and entertained questions on fans, television rights, sponsorship, stadium dining, Fagiano Okayama’s ‘Dream Pass’ and other examples of club operations.

“This has been one of the most informative marketing workshops we’ve held,” event organiser and Iran Pro League advisor Mohammad Reza Saket commented.

“There’s a lot of lessons we can apply here in Iran, and we want to challenge ourselves. In order to further understand what we learned today I want to create opportunities for Iranian clubs to visit Japan and learn from J.League clubs.”

Every workshop participant received a certificate of completion at the end of the day.
