Japan U23 squad announced for South Africa friendly

The Japan Football Association on Monday announced the Japan Under-23 squad for next week’s Kirin Challenge Cup friendly against South Africa.

All 21 members hail from J.League sides, with FC Tokyo, Albirex Niigata, and Kashiwa Reysol contributing three players each.

The match at Matsumotodaira Stadium in Nagano will be the final domestic appearance of Japan’s U23 team before they begin training for the upcoming Rio Olympics.
