The Japan Football Association on Friday announced Japan’s Under-23 squad for the men’s football tournament at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Sixteen J.League players were chosen for the squad, including overage selections Hiroki Fujiharu, Tsubasa Shiotani, and Shinzo Koroki.
Former J.Leaguers Takumi Minamino and Yuya Kubo, both currently playing in Europe, also made the list.
Makoto Teguramori’s team will face Brazil in a pre-tournament warm-up on July 31 at 4:30 JST.
