A pair of games from Match Week 13 in the 2025 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE were made up on Wednesday night, as Kawasaki Frontale and Urawa Reds played out a 2-2 draw and Vissel Kobe beat Yokohama F・Marinos 2-1.
Urawa struck the first blow three minutes before half-time at Uvance Todoroki Stadium by Fujitsu, when a Shoya Nakajima cross from deep wrong-footed Kawasaki-F goalkeeper Louis Yamaguchi and floated all the way in.
The sides went in level at the break though, as Marcinho pounced on a loose ball at a corner to equalise for Kawasaki-F in the second minute of first-half stoppage time.
The battle of attrition continued throughout the second period as the sides went toe to toe with each other, and then four minutes from time it looked as though Yusuke Segawa had struck the winner for Kawasaki-F.
Yuto Ozeki sent a raking pass out wide to Sai Van Wermeskerken, and his first-time cross on the volley was met perfectly by Segawa inside the area.
There was still more drama in store though, and Tomoaki Okubo made sure of a point for Urawa in the fourth minute of stoppage time, guiding home after Motoki Nagakura headed into his path.

At Nissan Stadium, meanwhile, Yokohama F・M started the brighter of the two sides and went close twice in the opening quarter of an hour, as Asahi Uenaka saw a shot saved by Kobe goalkeeper Daiya Maekawa and Katsuya Nagato slammed an attempt against the crossbar.
After withstanding that early onslaught Kobe then took the lead in the 19th minute, Erik dinking into the corner of the net against his former club after a chipped pass into him from Takahiro Ohgihara.
Yokohama F・M struck back in sensational fashion two minutes before half-time though, as captain Takuya Kida leathered a fierce drive beyond Kobe goalkeeper Daiya Maekawa from 25 yards.
Ohgihara, another former Yokohama F・M player, then claimed his second assist of the night six minutes after the restart, guiding a glorious free-kick from deep to the back post, where Yuya Osako rose highest and nodded home to make it 2-1 to Kobe.
Yokohama F・M’s best chance to draw level again came three minutes later when Ren Kato crossed into the area but Kenta Inoue couldn’t divert his header on target, meaning Yokohama F・M have lost now seven MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE games in a row and remain bottom of the table.
