Andrés Iniesta played spectacularly in October, helping lead Vissel Kobe to third place in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE, and the Spanish legend has been recognized for his terrific form with Konami Monthly MVP honors.

Iniesta started the month with a scintillating performance in a 5-1 thrashing of Urawa Reds. The midfielder dictated the match, picking up two goals and an assist while finding himself at the center of everything Vissel did in one of their best performances of the season. He kept up his fine form throughout the month and then finished October with a goal in a crucial 2-2 draw with Nagoya Grampus that kept Vissel in all-important third place, the final automatic AFC Champions League qualifying spot.

In J2, Fagiano Okayama’s Satoki Uejo won Monthly MVP after scoring four goals in his team’s five matches. Okayama had an undefeated October and Uejo’s goal scoring played a massive role in lifting the team to its success.

Fujieda MYFC’s Ryota Iwabuchi was given the award for J3 after scoring four goals and adding an assist in five October matches.
