Heavyweights Marinos, Kashima, Frontale, Urawa all streaming live on J1 Matchweek 5

The Meiji Yasuda J1 League’s streaming schedule for Matchweek 5 features some of the country’s biggest clubs in a tantalizing slate of four matches that can be viewed around the world.

Yokohama F·Marinos and Kashima Antlers kick things off as last year’s title winners take on the club with the most titles in J1 history. Both have ambitions of reclaiming the crown in 2023, making their clash at Nissan Stadium on Saturday one not to miss.

Urawa Reds are another of the J.League’s traditional powerhouses, but they face a big task this weekend when they take on the only undefeated team remaining in J1, Albirex Niigata. Albi are newly promoted to the top flight so they don’t have quite the pedigree of their opponents, but they’ve been sterling thus far, making for a tasty match.

Kawasaki Frontale have been the dominant team of this era in the J.League, winning four of the last six titles. They have every intention of winning another this season and they take that ambition into a meeting with Cerezo Osaka on Saturday.

The final match being streamed live is between Gamba Osaka and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, giving Takashi Usami the spotlight as his Nerazzuri side try to take down a Consa squad that is riding high after a win over Marinos a week ago.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
