Nagoya Grampus on Monday announced the signing of Sanfrecce Hiroshima striker Hisato Sato on a full transfer.
The 2012 J.League MVP scored four goals in 19 appearances in his 12th season at Sanfrecce and is the league’s second all-time scorer with 161 goals in the top flight.
“I hope that people will be able to look back and say that I helped Nagoya Grampus in what was a difficult time,” Sato commented.
“I want to work hard and help bring the club back to where they deserve to be. I may be old enough to be considered a veteran but I want to continue to learn more and grow with the club.”
