Grampus sign two promising university starlets for 2016

Nagoya Grampus on Friday confirmed the tentative signings of Meiji University pair Ryuji Izumi and Ryo Takahashi for the 2016 J.League season.

“I’m happy to be able to play as a member of Nagoya Grampus,” commented midfielder Izumi, who won the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament with Ichiritsu Funabashi in 2011.

“I can’t wait to step onto the pitch and contribute to the team’s victory.”

“I’m incredibly glad to be joining the club,” added Takahashi, who plays in defence. “And I will work hard every day in order to play for Grampus.”
