Nagoya Grampus have signed defender Ryusuke Sakai from Matsumoto Yamaga, the club announced on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, who scored two goals in 33 J1 League appearances last year, played for the Grampus U-18 team through 2006.
He graduated from Komazawa University and debuted for Kyoto Sanga in 2011.
“I’m very glad to be returning to the club that I played for as a youth,” Sakai said.
“I hope I can contribute to Grampus and quickly earn the trust of our fans and supporters.”
