Nagoya Grampus will not retain defender Marcus Tulio Tanaka for the 2017 season, the club has announced.
The former Japan international re-joined the club in September, playing in seven matches for the club who finished 16th in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League.
“I’m truly blest to have made such great friendships with the teammates I’ve fought beside,” Tulio commented.
“I’m thankful from the bottom of my heart for the support our fans have given us. I’m sorry that I wasn’t strong enough to help Nagoya Grampus stay in the J1.
“Even though I’m leaving the club, my love for Nagoya Grampus will never change.”
