Nagoya Grampus on Tuesday announced plans to conduct pre-season winter training camps in Thailand’s Chiang Mai as well as Okinawa.
The team’s visit to Thailand will take place between late January and early February, with the Okinawa camp to follow through mid-February.
Both will run ahead of the planned start of the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League in order to give the first-team squad a chance to familiarise themselves with their new manager’s methods.
The club will begin the new campaign with another at the helm given current boss Akira Nishino’s contract will not be extended beyond the present season.
Former J.League winner Nishino has led the Toyota outfit to tenth in the overall table this season with 10 wins, nine draws and 11 defeats so far.
