Goalkeeper Akimoto returns to Bellmare

Shonan Bellmare on Thursday announced the signing of goalkeeper Yota Akimoto on a full transfer from FC Tokyo, marking his return to BMW Stadium after just one season in the capital.

The J2 League side also confirmed the full signing of Nagoya Grampus striker Ryunosuke Noda as well as the arrival of midfielder Hiroki Akino on a one-year loan from Kashiwa Reysol.

“Some will have opinions about my coming back after such a short time, but I made this decision because I want to fight for this city and this club,” Akimoto said.

“I want to treat this chance valuably and help Shonan Bellmare take the first step toward returning to the J1.”

“This will be a new environment for me but I want to give my best,” Noda added. “I’m just a shy kid from Kyushu but I want to help Shonan Bellman return to the J1 and contribute to the club.”

“I want to give all of my strength to help us earn promotion, and work hard so that everyone involved with the club can end the season with a smile,” Akino concluded.
