Gamba Osaka announced the registration of striker Patric on Friday, the final day of the J.League’s winter transfer window.

The 2015 J.League Best XI selection had not yet been registered to the squad due to his ongoing rehabilitation from right knee surgery, but is expected to be able to return to action in June.

“I’m grateful to be able to return to my Gamba Osaka family,” Patric commented. “It’s wonderful to have everyone’s support. 

“I want to focus on (my recovery) so that I can contribute to a title for the club.”

The 29-year-old Brazilian has recorded 30 goals from 95 total J1 League appearances, including the 2013 season which he spent at Kawasaki Frontale and Ventforet Kofu.
