Gamba face tough task of orchestrating turnaround with Marinos in Osaka

Gamba Osaka’s season has not gone according to plan, with the team having managed just one win and sitting bottom of the table. They are in need of a major turnaround and that begins this week when Yokohama F·Marinos visit Panasonic Stadium Suita on Saturday at 7 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

For all of the Nerazzurri’s struggles, they have been relatively strong at home. They’ve managed results from four of six matches played in Osaka and they will be hoping to lean upon their fervent home crowd to win a crucial three points from Marinos.

The Tricolor were in terrific form before stumbling to a loss last week, but they are still an excellent team sitting in second place. As they continue their assault on Vissel Kobe atop the table, they’ll need to avoid pitfalls like a week ago and let their outstanding attack pace them, led by Anderson Lopes. Do that in Osaka and they’ll be right back in their pursuit of a second consecutive title.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
