Gamba try to stretch winning streak to five in visit to Yokohama FC

Gamba Osaka are one of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League’s hottest teams and they are hoping to stretch their winning streak to five games when they take on Yokohama FC on Saturday at 6:30 pm JST in a match that will be streamed on the J.League International YouTube channel.

It was not long ago that Gamba were last in the league, but four straight wins have taken them up to 14th and they are now closer to the top half of the table than they are the bottom. They ended Kashima Antlers’ nine-match unbeaten streak last week and it feels like nobody can beat the mighty Nerazzurri at the moment.

Yokohama aim to prove that’s not true this weekend. With their adoring home crowd behind them, the Fulie could pull out a much-needed victory. They are only a point ahead of last place and look likely to be in the relegation fight all the way to the end so every point is precious. When they get anyone at NHK Spring Mitsuzawa Football Stadium, it’s a golden opportunity and that’s what they have this weekend despite Gamba’s good form.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
