Frontale’s Nakamura heads toward 350th appearance

Kawasaki Frontale talisman Kengo Nakamura is on course to make his 350th appearance in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League this weekend.

The J.League has announced a list of potential career achievements which could be completed in the upcoming round of the first stage.

And Frontale captain Nakamura leads the lot and can achieve the appearance milestone as long as he sets foot on the pitch against Urawa Reds.

The 35-year-old has been instrumental in his side’s climb to the top of the table this season, contributing three goals and four assists in seven outings so far.

On the goals front, evergreen FC Tokyo striker Ryoichi Maeda is just three strikes shy of joining the 150 goals club, while Gamba Osaka captain Yasuhito Endo is two goals away from a century.
