Kawasaki Frontale on Saturday announced injuries to Yu Kobayashi and Kyohei Noborizato will prevent them from turning out against Vegalta Sendai in their final league game of the season.

Kobayashi was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle sustained during the team’s 1-1 draw at Urawa Reds on matchday 16 of the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League Second Stage on November 7.

The striker was absent as Frontale fell 2-0 to Gamba Osaka in the fourth round of the Emperor’s Cup, joining Noborizato - who tore a muscle in his right thigh during his pre-match warmup on the same day - on the sidelines.

Both players will require three weeks to recover.
