Kawasaki Frontale on Friday announced the signing of attacking midfielder Manabu Saito on a full transfer from Yokohama F. Marinos.

The 27-year-old, who scored one goal in 25 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League appearances last season, is currently recovering from a right anterior cruciate ligament tear suffered in late September.

“I want to focus on my recovery in order to play my best on the pitch. Thank you for your support,” Saito commented.

Japanese champions Frontale are already strengthening for their title defence next season, bringing in Saito to support returning hero Yoshito Okubo.
