Kawasaki Frontale’s Yusuke Tasaka is racing against time to be fit for their clash with Kashima Antlers at the end of August, after his club on Thursday revealed he tore his right calf muscle.
The 30-year-old winger picked up the injury in training on August 1 and was sent to a local hospital, where he has been diagnosed.
Tasaka made his first appearance for Frontale since rejoining them in July during the 2-0 win over Tamagawa Clasico rivals FC Tokyo, and has since gone on to score once in another four outings.
The Hiroshima native first played for the Todoroki Stadium side between 2007 and 2012, before spending three seasons with Germany’s Bochum.
