Matsumoto Yamaga FC on Thursday announced the arrival of striker Musashi Suzuki on a half-season loan from Albirex Niigata.

The 23-year-old has one goal in 17 appearances for Albirex this season after returning from last year’s loan to Mito Hollyhock. 

“I want to give all of my strength to help Matsumoto Yamaga earn promotion to the J1,” Suzuki commented.

Suzuki will hope his form at Yamaga can thrust him into the plans of Japan national team coach Vahid Halilhodzic, with the striker scoring one goal in two appearances for Japan at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
