Yokohama F. Marinos on Friday unveiled Isac Doru as the club’s sporting director.

The announcement marks the Romanian coach’s return to Japan for the first time since 2002, when he concluded his eight-year tenure with Nagoya Grampus as academy technical advisor and technical director.

Doru, who most recently served as the coach for MLS side Houston Dynamo’s Under-23 team, will take up his new role beginning in April.

F.Marinos currently sit fifth in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League, having won two and drawn one of their opening four games.
