FC Tokyo on Tuesday announced that they have been invited to play an international friendly against Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.

The two sides will face off in the Frankfurt Main Finance Cup at Commerzbank-Arena on August 2.

Frankfurt is currently the home of Japan national team captain Makoto Hasebe and former Cerezo Osaka midfielder Takashi Inui.

Massimo Ficcadenti’s side will take advantage of the break in MEIJI YASUDA J1 League fixtures for the East Asian Cup to travel to play the prestigious tie.
