Yokohama F. Marinos on Wednesday announced that Kanto Gakuin University striker Cayman Togashi has agreed to join the club in 2016.
The 22-year-old already made his J.League debut as a Type II player in September, scoring a game-winner against FC Tokyo in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League second stage.
Born in the United States, he played for the F. Marinos’ Junior Youth team, but did not advance through the team’s academy.
“I’m incredibly happy to have another chance to play for a club I’ve longed for since I was young,” Togashi commented.
“I want to thank everyone who has helped me along the way and promise my fans and supporters that I’ll always be thinking of them when I’m fighting on the pitch.”
