Kashiwa Reysol on Friday announced the departure of Daisuke Suzuki, with the defender citing the need for a new challenge.
The 25-year-old Tokyo native spent three years with the club, scoring three goals in 34 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League appearances last season.
“I came to this decision as a result of a strong desire to challenge myself in a new environment,” Suzuki told supporters in a statement.
“I still vividly remember the incredible atmosphere when I first stepped out onto the Kashiwa Stadium pitch.
“Our supporters are passionate, kind, and sometimes critical; it’s been an honour to play in front of you for three years.”
