FC Tokyo on Friday announced the tentative signing of defender Sei Muroya.
The 21-year-old Meiji University student was the only collegiate member of Japan’s recent AFC U-23 Championship-winning squad.
“I’ve dreamed of being a professional football player since I was little and it’s an honour to have that dream come true at FC Tokyo,” Muroya said. “I want to thank the officials at my university who have helped me to turn pro while remaining a student, the members of the football club, my family, my friends, and everyone who has supported me.”
Murray is expected to be eligible to play for Tokyo in their upcoming ACL playoff against Chonburi FC on February 9.
