Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on Saturday announced the signing of striker Jay Bothroyd.
The one-time England international made his J.League debut with Jubilo Iwata in 2015, helping that side earn promotion and scoring 14 goals from 22 appearances in last year’s MEIJI YASUDA J1 League campaign.
“I’m happy to join Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo. The players and staff have treated me warmly,” Bothroyd said.
“The club’s great fans deserve results. I love scoring goals, but more than that I want to help the team win.
“I look forward to being able to play for the team and will work hard from today. Forza Sapporo!”
Bothroyd, who will wear the No.48 shirt, will be eligible to appear for Consadole in late July following the opening of the league’s summer registration window.
