Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on Tuesday announced that they will not renew their contract with midfielder Irfan Bachdim.

The Indonesia international joined from Ventforet Kofu in 2015, making six J2 League appearances in the last two seasons.

He was instrumental this season as he was part of the Consadole team that topped the MEIJI YASUDA J2 League and earned promotion to the top-flight.

“I am sad to be leaving the club I have belong to for the last two years,” Irfan commented. 

“I was surrounded by good friends and fantastic supporters and enjoyed every day here.

“My playing time may have been limited this season, but I played with all of my strength and I’m glad that we ended the season with the J2 title and promotion.

“I want to thank everyone I have spent time with in Sapporo, and I look forward to meeting all of you again soon.”
