In one of the biggest moves of the offseason, Cerezo Osaka have signed Léo Ceará from Yokohama F·Marinos.
The Brazilian is coming off a dazzling 2022 campaign, scoring 11 goals and adding three assists to help Marinos capture the Meiji Yasuda J1 League crown.
Léo Ceara’s play stole headlines last summer when Anderson Lopes was out of action for Yokohama. Tasked with leading the Tricolor attack for six games, Léo Ceará was spectacular, scoring six times and picking up all three of his assists on the campaign.
Cerezo will now hope he can replicate that at the Yodoko Sakura Stadium as they aim to rejoin the league’s best teams and challenge at the top of the table.
