Bellmare renew Cho’s contract for 2017

Shonan Bellmare on Monday announced that manager Cho Kwi-jea will reprise his position for the 2017 season.

The Korean manager guided the team to two MEIJI YASUDA J1 League promotions since arriving in 2012.

Cho achieved a ninth-place finish last year but failed to avoid relegation this season after ending the campaign in 17th place.

“I would like to thank Shonan Bellmare for giving me the opportunity to lead the team next season despite our 17th-place finish in this year’s J1 League,” he said.

“Next season I want to humbly focus on victory and making enjoyable football, and I hope our fans will continue to fight together with us.”
