Ventforet Kofu on Wednesday announced the arrival of Australian midfielder Billy Celeski.

The 30-year-old most recently played for the A-League’s Newcastle Jets and has experience in both China and the UAE. He is perhaps most well known for his time at Melbourne Victory, during which they won the 2008-09 Premiership and Championship.

“Everyone has warmly welcomed me since the team’s first training camp and I feel like this is a talented group of players,” Celeski said. “I’m grateful that the team values me and I’m excited to play for Ventforet Kofu.”

The Yamanashi outfit will start their 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League season on the road at Vissel Kobe on February 27.
