Kawasaki Frontale on Monday announced Brazilian Arthur Maia arrived on loan from EC Vitoria for the rest of the 2015 season, as the club look to replace the departed Renato.
Arthur, who was initially spending this season on loan at Flamengo, will now wear the Frontale No. 10 shirt vacated by former talisman Renato when he signed for Guangzhou R&F in July.
“I fell blessed to have come to Frontale,”the 22-year-old Arthur told the club’s website.
“I want to work hard to get fit as quickly as possible and work together with my teammates to accomplish our goals.”
Despite the loss of Renato, Yahiro Kazama’s men have continued their strong start to the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League second stage, sitting third with 10 points after five games.
