Omiya Ardija on Thursday announced the signing of South Korean defender Kim Dong-su on a full transfer from Hamburger SV.

The 22-year-old has played for the Bundesliga outfit’s reserve side for the last three seasons, in addition to representing South Korea at the Under-16, U-18, U-19, and U-23 levels.

“I’m happy to have signed for Omiya Ardija and want to do my best for the team and our supporters,” Kim said. 

“As a defender I want to put myself on the line and help the team improve our place in the standings as much as possible.

“I’m looking forward to playing in the J.League for the first time and want to prepare well.”
