Omiya Ardija defender Keigo Numata will miss three months of action after fracturing his left fifth metatarsal, the club announced on Tuesday.
Numata suffered the injury during last Saturday’s 3-2 win over Shonan Bellmare and underwent surgery at a local hospital on Monday.
The 26-year-old has one goal in 17 appearances this season for Ardija, who are in fourth place overall in their first season back in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League.
