Hiroyuki Takasaki admits he hopes to redeem himself while on loan for the rest of the season to Montedio Yamagata following his ill-fated spell at Kashima Antlers.
The former Urawa Reds and Ventforet Kofu striker was unable to find the net in 13 appearances for Antlers this term before he was farmed out to ND Soft Stadium on Tuesday.
“I’m incredibly disappointed that I couldn’t perform to the expectations of our supporters,” Takasaki commented.
“I want to polish my abilities at Montedio Yamagata and return to Kashima stronger and with more experience.”
The 29-year-old will not be allowed to appear against Antlers in any official fixtures for the duration of his loan, as one of the conditions listed in the agreement.
Japan’s most successful club outfit have endured a difficult campaign so far, and recently replaced manager Toninho Cerezo at the helm.
