Kashima Antlers last week announced injuries to midfielders Leo Silva and Yasushi Endo which will see both players sit out for several rounds.
Silva received surgery for a torn left meniscus last Wednesday after injuring the knee in the team’s match against Vissel Kobe on May 14, with six to eight weeks expected for his recovery.
Endo, who injured a muscle in his left thigh in the same match, will miss three to four weeks.
Antlers slumped to a 3-0 loss to Kawasaki Frontale at the weekend without the pair, in a result that saw them drop to sixth in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League table.
