Antlers and F.Marinos ensure J.League take Asia Challenge trophy

The final day of the J.League Asia Challenge Thailand 2017 took place in Bangkok’s Rajamangala Stadium on Thursday, with the J.League declared winners of the Interleague Cup.

In the first match, Kashima Antlers stumbled to a 4-3 defeat to Bangkok United, conceding four goals in the opening 40 minutes before falling short in a spirited comeback attempt.

Mu Kanazaki scored shortly before half time, with newcomers Leandro and Leo Silva making their way on the scoresheet.

Later in the final match, Yokohama F.Marinos eased to a 4-0 win over Suphanburi with Keita Endo scoring a brace, plus Cayman Togashi and Kota Yamada scoring in the closing minutes.

The result gave the J.League three wins to the Thai League’s one, making them overall winners.
