The Japan Professional Football League (J.League) has confirmed the home opening fixtures (60 matches in total) for all clubs participating in the 2026/27 MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE season (J1, J2, and J3), which will kick off on Friday, August 7th, 2026. These fixtures are being announced ahead of the full schedule release on Tuesday, June 16th.
To mark the beginning of the new season, which will now start in August, the league will stage a special opening match between Yokohama F・Marinos and Kashima Antlers at MUFG Stadium (National Stadium) on Friday, August 7th. The two clubs hold a unique distinction as the only teams that have continuously competed in the J1 division since the J.League's inaugural season in 1993.
The league is planning a variety of special initiatives and matchday entertainment to celebrate this opening fixture.
The complete schedule through Matchday 38 will be announced on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 16th. Information regarding kick-off times, stadium venues, and television broadcast details for matches taking place in 2026 is scheduled to be released at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 1st.
