Amano last-gasp winner sinks Gamba

Yokohama F.Marinos are into the semi-finals of the Emperor’s Cup after seeing off holders Gamba Osaka 2-1 thanks to Jun Amano’s 96th-minute goal in Saturday’s quarter-final.

Manabu Saito put the hosts ahead just after the hour mark but Yasuyuki Konno equalised before in the 87th minute.

But Amano struck with his last-gasp winner to send Erick Mombaerts’ men to the semis, where they take on Kashima Antlers.

Omiya Ardija join F.Marinos there, after their stunning display in front of goal in the second half of extra-time saw them defeat Shonan Bellmare 4-2.

The match finished 1-1 in normal time, and Yoshihito Fujuita put Shonan ahead in the first half of extra-time.

However, the hosts rallied and came out to seal an excellent comeback in 15 minutes, as Kosuke Kikuchi struck twice and Tsubasa Oya rounded off the scoring to send Ardija in the last four.
