Albirex Niigata defeated Ryutsu Keizai University 5-0 in a training match on Sunday ahead of the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League’s restart this weekend.

Striker Ryohei Yamazaki and defender Kentaro Ohi scored in the first half, while Tatsuya Tanaka, Musashi Suzuki and Shu Hiramatsu added to the tally in the second.

The match counts as good preparation for 17th-placed Albirex, who will be looking to begin their escape from the relegation zone when they host Kashima Antlers in the opening match of the second stage.
