Fans will fill Ajinomoto Stadium on Saturday for not one, but two games, as the first J.League and WE League collaboration match offers up a doubleheader to remember.
The proceedings will begin at 14:00 JST with a Meiji Yasuda J2 League clash between Tokyo Verdy and JEF United Chiba, before continuing on at 18:00 JST with Nippon TV Tokyo Verdy Beleza against JEF United Ichihara Chiba Ladies.
The opening act sees Verdy hoping to break into the automatic promotion places in J2, currently sitting third in the table but level on points with second. JEF United Chiba have gotten off to a slower start, down in 14th position, but will certainly bring their best as they try to knock off the home team.
When the women's sides take the pitch, it will be a battle of second and fourth place in the WE League table as Beleza hope to solidify a runner's up finish in the inaugural campaign.
Be sure to catch all the action on Saturday in Tokyo: Two clubs, two games, one stadium for a historic matchday. It’s going down at Ajinomoto Stadium.
