2021 Season – Protocol Regarding the Cancellation of Official Matches

The J.LEAGUE has announced that the Board of Directors confirmed the protocol regarding the cancellation of official matches in the 2021 season. 

■ 2021 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE, 2021 J.LEAGUE YBC Levain CUP

• If a match is cancelled, and an alternate day or stadium cannot be secured, the affected match will be deemed to have taken place on the original planned day, and the cancellation will be handled according to the below protocol based on the reason for its cancellation
• If a team does not meet the minimum number of players required for entry (due to COVID-19 infection or other reasons), that team will be deemed responsible for the cancellation

■ FUJI XEROX SUPER CUP 2021

• If either team does not fulfill entry conditions by noon three days prior to the matchday (Saturday, February 20, 2021), the highest ranked team in the 2020 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE will replace the team unable to participate
• If either team does not fulfill entry conditions after noon three days prior to the scheduled date, the match will be cancelled
