Urawa visit Kawasaki trying to make it seven in a row unbeaten

Urawa Reds have been fabulous of late, running an unbeaten streak up to six games, and they’ll try to make it seven in a row when they visit Kawasaki Frontale on Sunday at 4 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

The Reds haven’t just racked up points from teams for weeks now - they’ve been absolutely dominant. They’ve outscored their opponents 12-3 in their last six and they’ve done it with contributions from all over. Three players have two goals on the campaign, while another five have found the back of the net as everyone has chipped in going forward. Toss in Shusaku Nishikawa backstopping the defense and you have a team that is fourth in the table, just three points off the top.

Frontale are used to putting together unbeaten streaks and competing at the top of the table, having won four of the last six Meiji Yasuda J1 League titles, but 2023 has not been kind to them. They’ve won just two of eight this season, but with all the talent and experience in the squad, could find their form at any minute.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
