Yokohama F·Marinos are back on the prowl for a second consecutive Meiji Yasuda J1 League title. They’ve gone four matches without a loss and are up to fourth place, just four points off the top of the league as they head to Sagan Tosu on Wednesday at 3 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

Marinos had a rocky patch early in the season as they dealt with a changing roster after several key players left in the winter, but they seem to have found their form. Their attack, in particular, has been sensational. Anderson Lopes leads the league in goals, while Élber and Kota Mizunuma are joint league leaders in assists.

That sets up a delicious matchup in Tosu, where Sagan own a historically strong defense. The club has had good defenses for years now, building their success on a consistent ability to keep teams at bay. While they are not quite up to the standard of previous seasons early on in 2023, they are still a solid defensive team that has the potential to frustrate even the Tricolor’s fabulous front.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
