Top European clubs will journey from Europe to Japan this summer as the J.League helps play host to the MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE WORLD CHALLENGE 2023 (JWC) on Sunday, July 23rd and the Audi Football Summit(AFS) on Wednesday, July 26th at the Japan National Stadium.
The MEIJI YASUDA J.LEAGUE WORLD CHALLENGE 2023 will see reigning Meiji Yasuda J1 League champions Yokohama F・Marinos host English Premier League giants Manchester City FC in the first JWC held since 2019, with special support from J.League title partner Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company.
Just three days later, the AFS will kick off, with Manchester City FC again in action — this time against German Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich.
These occasions will allow J.League fans to experience international competition on home shores once again and to attract a broad audience to watch world-class football talent on display.
Both matches will be co-hosted by the J.League and NTT DOCOMO, INC. and will be streamed domestically, exclusively and for free, on “Lemino,” the OTT (Over The Top) platform run by NTT DOCOMO, INC.
